Domaine 1196 is the result of a partnership between Domaine Wolf and Reinhard Muster, who shared a vision to revive the historic Hoch Sernau vineyard. This site, first mentioned in 1196, had been unused for years before they founded a new era for it.
This Chardonnay opens with complex aromas of fermented black tea, Indian spices, dried apricots, and almond. Its texture is seamless and velvety, leading to a long, elegant finish of spice and fruit. A meticulously crafted wine, it earned 95 points from Falstaff.
