Johannes Hirsch is one of Austria's top wine-makers and was proclaimed wine maker of the year 2011.
A showcase wine for Austria's classic white grape variety that comes from the loess and loam soils typical of the lower parts of the Heiligenstein vineyard which belongs to the village of Kammern. Fragrances of sweet vegetables and fruits mingle with elegant spice aromas; this wine is equally supple, substantial and satisfying.
Pale green-yellow. Yellow apple backed by smoky and spicy nuances with pronounced minerals. Subtle and elegant with ripe tropical fruit such as mango and papaya. Very harmonious and persistent on the palate. Already offering tremendous drinking pleasure, but still possessing superb ageing potential.
25-year-old vines planted with a density of 4.500 vines per hectar. Yields: 40 hectoliters per hectar.
